Their clients include Fortune 1000 companies and leading travel providers nationally. They are based south of Indianapolis with a highly dispersed workforce and are experiencing a long period of sustained growth and accelerated market expansion.
Position:
We are seeking a hands-on Data Engineering Director that will be responsible for the strategic and technical roadmap of our client’s data platform across AWS, Snowflake, Python, SQL, and related data solutions. This person will serve as the Director of the Data Engineering Team and also serve as the subject matter expert for core data pipelines, workflows, and overall data platform architecture, performance, and scalability. The director will lead a team of 4-6 engineers, analysts, and report specialists and oversee the data and platform tools used to deliver client solutions.
We are specifically seeking a hands-on data engineering leader that has both led a team as well as remains active in the architecture of the data engineering framework across pipelines, workflow, data integration, advanced reporting models, and long-term performance with AWS, Snowflake, and Python based environments. This is a senior level and highly influential role within the company
Desired Experience:
- Experience in the design and implementation of data engineering strategy, implementation, and performance
- Former experience with data engineering tools including AWS, Snowflake, Python, and SQL.
- Previous experience developing data solutions for client deliverables or as a commercial offering a plus
- Experience as a hands-on architect and team leader with full platform ownership and influence
- Subject Matter Expert presence with ability to have fortune level client discussions
