Our client is an industry leading manufacturer and provider of medicinal procedures with a network of over 180 clinic and in-home medical services locations. They have a highly dispersed work force including over 250 corporate employees in addition to more than 500 associated professionals nationwide. They are a well-established company that has been in business since 1986 and has experienced continual ongoing growth.
Position:
They are seeking a hands-on Data Engineer that will work closely with the Lead Data Engineer implementing a technical roadmap of our client’s data strategy across data warehousing, ETL, SQL, and Azure platform leading into a Snowflake architecture redesign within the next 12 months. This person will be part of a core IT team data team and serve as a direct report to VP of Solution Architecture. The Data Engineer will work with the lead data engineer in the ongoing data design, implementation, performance, and scalability of the data engineering ecosystem in both current and future Azure to Snowflake redesign.
We are specifically seeking a hands-on data engineer with a desire to be in a core data team role and play an integral part in the design and implementation of data pipelines, infrastructure, data integration, advanced reporting models, and long-term performance with SQL language within a Snowflake GCP environment.
Desired Experience:
- Prior implementation of data strategy, development, and performance design and engineering
- Direct experience engineering cloud platform and data services, Azure S3, Azure Data Factory, and related
- Cloud based data warehouse experience with Snowflake, Redshift, and/or Big Query
- Former experience with SQL database infrastructure, data pipeline framework, and related database pipelines
- Familiarity with optimized performance system tuning, caching strategies, infrastructure scaling, storage performance, and related
- Past experience with data flow automation tools including Apache Airflow, Luigi, and/or related a plus
